Narrabri North Mine - An underground mine that predominantly produces low ash, high energy, low sulphur thermal coal and PCI coal. Whitehaven owns 77.5% of the mine and is also its operator.
Tarrawonga Mine - One of Whitehaven's foundational mines, it has been in operation since 2006 and is an open cut coal mine.
Werris Creek Mine - An open-cut coal mine which commenced production in 2005 and is expected to cease production until approximately 2025.
Gunnedah Open Cuts - Comprising of the Tarrawonga, Rocglen and Werris Creek mines, they produce low to medium ash, low sulphur, low phosphorus, PCI and thermal coal.
Vickery Project - A project under consideration pending government approval to begin mining expansion operations on the site of Whitehaven's formerly utilised Vickery and Canyon mines.
Winchester South Project - A project located near Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, under operational consideration pending government approval to begin operations.
Rocglen Mine - Recently commenced a rehabilitation programme which is expected to take 18 months.
Sunnyside Mine - Resumed operations in 2017 to mine the remainder of coal.
Canyon Mine - An open cut mine and currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Daunia Mine - An open cut coal mine located 170km south west of Mckay in Queensland.
Blackwater Mine - An open cut coal mine located 73km south east of Emerald.Whitehaven Coal also maintains a number of exploration and development projects in Queensland and New South Wales.
